Recycled HDPE mats staged at a plant site with an excavator working beyond
Financing & buy-back

Own the fleet.
Keep the cash.

Recycled HDPE mats are bought once and work for a decade. We make the purchase easy for EPCs with multi-year programs, and for mat rental and ground protection companies growing a fleet without a capital event.

Which path is mine? See worked examples
Two kinds of buyer

Same mats.
Two ways to own them.

EPCs & general contractors

Buy it.
Own it for the program.

You have a multi-year program and a budget line for access. Timber eats that line every 18 to 36 months. One HDPE purchase covers the program start to finish, and the mats are an asset on your books with buy-back value when the last pad is pulled.

One PO, one delivery, no rebuys
Mats move site to site across the program
Buy-back quote at close-out, or keep them for the next one
Equipment on the balance sheet, not a recurring expense
Typical fit: utility, pipeline, transmission and heavy civil programs running two years or longer.
Mat rental & ground protection companies

Buy it, or
rent to own it.

Your fleet is your revenue. Timber in the fleet means constant replacement and a yard full of mats you can't rent. Add HDPE outright, or put it to work under a rent-to-own and let the mats pay for themselves on your customers' jobs before title passes.

Grow the rentable fleet without a capital event
Rent-to-own payments sized to your utilization
10+ year mats lower your fleet's replacement rate
Buy-back gives the fleet an exit value timber never has
Typical fit: regional and national mat rental yards, ground protection and site services companies adding recycled HDPE to a timber fleet.

How a purchase works

01
Scope the fleet

Send your mat count, sizes, current timber or rental spend, and how often you replace. We size the mix of digging and 3-ply mats and return your cost per service year.

02
Pick the structure

Pay outright, or finance in-house with a deposit and fixed payments built around the project or your fleet's utilization. Terms are set per deal, not off a rate card.

03
Mats ship from Winnie

24 digging mats or 28 3-ply mats per truck, 30–40% fewer loads than timber. Delivered to the yard or straight to the first site.

04
Title passes. Exit on your terms.

Financed mats are yours free and clear once the balance is paid. Keep them working, or take a buy-back quote whenever the program ends.

Rent to own

Put them to work
before you own them.

Built for rental yards and service companies. The mats go into your fleet and out on your customers' jobs from day one. Payments run on a schedule sized to your utilization, and a share of each payment builds toward ownership.

A deposit, then fixed monthly payments
Pay ahead any time; no penalty for finishing early
Convert a straight rental to rent-to-own mid-term
Title passes when the balance is paid

Schedules and deposits are set per fleet and per customer. Tell us your utilization and we'll build one around it.

Buy-back program

Ownership
with an exit.

Timber ends in a disposal bill. Recycled HDPE ends in a quote. When a program closes or a fleet turns over, we price the mats you own and buy them back, move them to your next job, or both.

When
Any time after purchase. Most buyers ask at program close-out or when they re-size a fleet.
How
Send counts and photos. We grade condition, quote a residual per mat, and arrange pickup from your yard or the last site.
What drives it
Age, condition and size. Mats kept on reasonable duty hold value well past the point where timber would be scrap.
Your options
Take the cash, apply it against a new order, or keep the mats and re-deploy. Nothing goes to the landfill.

Five timber rebuys across a ten-year program versus one HDPE purchase that moves site to site and comes back for a quote at close-out.

Buy-back value

A rental fleet turning timber every 18 months buys the fleet nearly seven times over. HDPE under rent-to-own earns on customer jobs while it pays itself off.

Ground protection services
1,000-mat fleet
1,000 mats · $950 per timber mat · replaced every 30 months

HDPE purchases

Buy-back value

Even on a gentler 30-month cycle, timber is bought four times. One HDPE purchase with buy-back value at the end changes the fleet’s economics.

Tax note

Purchased mats are equipment. Bonus depreciation generally applies in year one, which can bring the after-tax cost of an HDPE fleet well below the sticker. Rented timber is an operating expense with nothing left at the end. Confirm the treatment with your tax advisor.

Questions buyers ask

Before you call

No. Every structure is built around the specific fleet, program length and how the buyer pays. We would rather size a deal to your utilization than fit you to a rate card. Ask and we will put real numbers on paper for your situation.
